From the SW welder open frame petrol generator series, the Stephill SW200DC is reliability economical thanks to the robust Honda GX390 engine. The Overhead Valve (OHV) engine produces 200 Amps of DC welding power – 4 kVA / 3.2 KW of power effortlessly and has been designed for welding applications. The SW welder range also have the capability of running as a generator with 230V and 110V outputs.
Power Rating of the Stephill SW200DC
It has a prime power rating of 4 kVA / 3.2 KW and produces 200 Amps DC for welding.
This lightweight open frame generator is extremely compact and strong, so can be stored with ease in the smallest of spaces. With a generous fuel tank of 6.1 L, the Stephill SW200DC open frame generator is perfect for your next project. Plus, its surprisingly light, just 86KG. With an easy-to-use configuration this portable petrol generator gives you a fantastic balance between performance and price.
Is the Stephill SW200DC Easy to Start and Use?
You bet it is – the easy recoil start (pull start) is smooth and silky. On a well-maintained unit it starts first pull every time. This generator has the option to upgrade to an electric key start, making starting a total breeze.
There are 1 x 16A 110V & 1 x 16A 230V BS4343 sockets to connect your electrical equipment up to, along with 2 x DIN 32 welding sockets and voltage selector switch. Also this unit has low oil shutdown, the generator has a reset circuit breaker overload protection and a voltage selector switch.
Using Sensitive Equipment with the Electrical Power from the Stephill SW200DC
The power produced by the Stephill SW200DC enables a smooth voltage output via the brushless – self regulated alternator.
Low Noise Levels
You might think having a portable petrol generator will be very noisy. Well think again; the SW200DC is surprisingly quiet at 72 dBA @ 7 metres.
What Happens If I Do Not Use My Generator for Long Periods?
As with all petrol engines, if you are planning to store your generator for a long period its ‘best practice’ to either drain the fuel tank then run the generator until it stops. This will prevent any unused fuel congealing and clogging the carburettor. Or to stop the fuel from going off use a petrol additive. Remember, stale fuel can stop your generator from starting when you need it.
