From the Network Rail Approved open frame petrol generator series, the Stephill RT3400HMC is reliability economical thanks to the robust Honda GX200 engine. The Overhead Valve (OHV) engine produces 3.4 kVA / 2.7 KW of power effortlessly and has been designed with metal long run fuel tank and folding handles to aid portability for trackside power applications. Network Rail approved, 110/55v CTE ouput.
Power Rating of the Stephill RT3400HMC
It has a prime power rating of 2.4kVA / 2.7 KW.
This lightweight open frame generator is extremely compact and strong, so can be stored with ease in the smallest of spaces. With a generous fuel tank of 11 L, the Stephill RT3400HMC open frame generator is perfect for your next project. Plus, its surprisingly light, just 47KG. With an easy-to-use configuration this portable petrol generator gives you a fantastic balance between performance and price.
Is the Stephill RT3400HMC Easy to Start and Use?
You bet it is – the easy recoil start (pull start) is smooth and silky. On a well-maintained unit it starts first pull every time.
There are 2 x 16A & 1 x 32A 110V BS4343 sockets to connect your electrical equipment up to. Also this unit has low oil shutdown, the generator has a reset circuit breaker overload protection and a voltage selector switch.
Using Sensitive Equipment with the Electrical Power from the Stephill RT3400HMC
The power produced by the Stephill RT3400HMC enables a smooth voltage output via the brushless waveform alternator. This keeps the 110/55v CTE outputs to low distortion sine waves, conforming to Network Rail approved specification.
Low Noise Levels
You might think having a portable petrol generator will be very noisy. Well think again; the RT3400HMC is surprisingly quiet at 71 dBA @ 7 metres.
What Happens If I Do Not Use My Generator for Long Periods?
As with all petrol engines, if you are planning to store your generator for a long period its ‘best practice’ to either drain the fuel tank then run the generator until it stops. This will prevent any unused fuel congealing and clogging the carburettor. Or to stop the fuel from going off use a petrol additive. Remember, stale fuel can stop your generator from starting when you need it.
